Teneligliptin 20 mg + Metformin 500 mg ER Bilayered

This tablet is used in the treatment of diabetes type 2. This medicine is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines, where Metformin is an anti-diabetic medicine that works by decreasing the liver’s glucose production. Teneligliptin is an inhibitor type of dipeptidyl peptidase and it works by decreasing hormones responsible for the increment of blood sugar level and increases the discharge of insulin from the pancreas. Both combinations of medicine can provide better control of blood sugar.

Side Effects–

Following side effect may occur with the use of given medications

Headache, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, stomach, sore throat or nasal congestion may occur. Inform your doctor immediately, if you feel any of the given side effects worsen. Your doctor has prescribed this medicine because he judged that the benefits of this medicine are more than the risk of side effects. Many patients are not feeling any side effects while using this medication. Tell your doctor right away if you observe any new signs of side effects such as low blood sugar level or respiratory infection.

Precautions

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have allergies of any medicine. Take this medicine with regular exercise and healthy food to lower chance of sugar in blood. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while using this medicine. Consult doctor for your diabetes treatment when any type of surgery require under general anesthetic.
